      Problems with staying lucid

Over the past couple of nights, i have managed to become lucid a couple of times but everytime i do, i take one breath and i wake up. Has anybody else had this problem?

You are probably just excited that you are experiencing something you have been working hard on...Stick with it and if the dream begins to fade try spinning or rubbing your hands, it works everytime for me.

Like Babyhand was saying, stick with it and try spinning or rubbing your hands. In the past when I felt like I'd wake up, I have focussed on my surroundings in great detail, focussing on the different senses. I remember in one LD I was surrounding by bushes so I zoomed in and out around me, taking in all the detail of the leaves, branches etc, and that helped me a lot. Maybe you could try something like that?

Also, when you wake up, if you stay still and go to sleep again thinking about your dream, you could re-enter the dream and try to become lucid again. Another thing you could try is doing a few RCs when you wake up to make sure that you haven't just had a false awakening.
