I'll give you the general catch-all answer that pops up in any thread where basically any question is asked.

IT VARIES FROM PERSON TO PERSON

Well there you have it. If you're a newbie here with lots of questions, prepare to hear that answer a lot. The most annoying part of that answer is that it's usually the correct answer, as everyone responding has a wildly different actual answer based their experience.
Always know sometimes think it's me
But you know I know when it's a dream
I think I know I mean yes, but it's all wrong
That is I think I disagree

      Ditto.

Even if it varies, what you can do is pick one that seems right for you. One that goes with your sleep schedule or sleeping habits, for example.

      I completely agree.

However, there are three things that everyone who is serious about learning to LD should do. These are:
      Keep a dream journal
      practice reality checks
      use autosuggestion

Beyond this, I remember how confusing it was to try to choose a LD technique. So I'll point out a few things.
DILD or MILD are good if your mind is highly suggestible and you don't want to go for a more direct technique.
WILD with WBTB is good if you fall asleep easily and don't mind missing some sleep to get a LD. You will probably feel SP and may have some HI, so if either of these freak you out, this isn't a good technique for you.
DEILD is good if you are willing to put in some prepreration. DEILD is the only technique I'm aware of that has a nearly 100% success rate if done correctly. You won't loose any sleep with DEILD, but you may have HI or SP.

      I hope this helps!
