Angry Struggling to WILD - HELP!

Well, I have had a few VERY faint LDs, with very little control.

But, I have started to get very close to WILDing. I get the HI and a pins and needles feeling, obviously SP. Then my body starts feeling very light and my heartrate and breathing skyrockets.

But, from there I never seem to enter a dream, I could see some scenery last night, and then my heartrate slowed down and I was wide awake. And no, I wasn't dreaming, I did a long list of RCs.

This is starting to pi55 me off, Im so close to a WILD!

There's just one more prob, I dont have a specific anchor for WILDing, the last time it just sorta happened. That does sound great, but I usually can't sleep well after a failed WILD because I keep entering the WILD state when I try to sleep.

Once the SP, HI and heavy breathing happened five times in one night, by itself.

      Anyone can help me?
      EsC

      PS:
The more caffeine I have in my body, the easier it is to WILD, normal? Once I had like 13 cups, and the WILD started immediately. But, it failed, as always.

You breathing should never get out of control. Have you ever watched someone while they were asleep? Did you notice how they were breathing? If you have, then you noticed how they were breathing, which should have been slow and deep; this is how you want to be breathing at all times when trying to WILD. We're not supposed to be conscious while we are asleep so I can inference that the cause of your racing heart beat and rapid breathing is you/your consciousness and the cause of your awakening. Now you might reply that you have no control over it, but trust me, if you're still conscious then you're still in control of it.
But what is causing this fast breathing/rapid heart rate in the first place? It is definitely shock or excitement. You could be startled by the sudden change in consciousness (onset of SP) or excited by this, either way, both are emotional signals that an unconscious person would emit. So you have to try to mimic an unconscious person when trying to WILD. This includes showing no emotion toward any changes going on; you have to acknowledge these changes in order to remain conscious, but ignore them in order to not wake yourself. This is why WILDing is a very difficult technique to master, but not impossible.
So how exactly can you learn to do this? Practice. Practice is the only true way of mastering the WILD technique. Through practice, you will learn how to get used to SP, how SP feels, how SP affects you and how to react to SP w/o losing consciousness or waking yourself. I still havent mastered this myself, but then again, I havent been practicing ().
So with the above knowledge in you mind, you should read some more WILD techniques just to reinforce your own. You can browse through DVs for one that fits you, try Clarity's method (which I used), or my own little, step-by-step guide that is basically a summarized, but not adequate, version:

      2. Devote at least 2 hours (or more) to WILDing.(optional)

      3. Remember your goal (where you want to go, what you want to do, etc).

      4. Dismiss any other thoughts and focus only on taking slow, deep breaths.

      5. Remain COMPLETELY still, no matter what.

      6. Try to steer clear of straying/abstract thoughts when entering SP (random/abstract thoughts means that the logical part of your brain is falling asleep, dont let it!). (they can also cause you to enter a non-Lucid Dream which would make all this work was for nothing!)

      7. Dont fight or resist SP in any way / stay relaxed and calm when it begins to happen.

      8. Continue to focus only on your (slow, deep) breathing as vibrations, Hypnagogic Imagery, and auditory hallucinations become more intense from SP.

(you can focus on and/or visualize your goal once you think you've got the breathing part down packed).

      9. Continue step 8 until you feel that sudden rush of spinning and/or falling through your bed or ceiling (in my case); this should mean that SP is complete, and hence you are ready to dream.

      10. If you are not already in a dream scene, then spin around or rub your hands together (or both) in order to conjure up one. Doing this can also stabilize a fading/blurry dream scene.

There you have it, those are pretty much all the steps I take when Im attempting a WILD. And if it doesnt work the first time, remember that it takes time so dont give up! I know it seems like a lot, but once you've been through it many times, you will become better and better at it.

Thanks for the tut, Ill keep you guys updated.

I dont know about the breathing, for some reason my body gets really light, the breathing thing happens and I see a lot of colors and crap. But, I have asthma, and I never get an out-of-breath feeling with the breathing.

I think that the breathing IS actually a normal part of my WILDs (every brain is wired differently), but because I don't feel out of breath or light headed during of after the breathing, I think it is probably just a very strong hallucination.

I have, during that breathing experienced slight REM, HI and some very risque audio I care not to discussWhich all formed part of a hallucination, because the audio hallucinations could not have been real.

You're right, every brain is wired differently. But I have attempted and failed many WILDs and tried to piece together all my mistakes. Ive noticed that if I loose consciousness for even a split second before entering SP, then SP usually causes me to regain my consciousness and startles/excites me a bit; and Ive realized that if I dont keep my breathing in manual transmission (if you will) then my breathing will become fast and my heart will be racing. So just food for thought.
