Reality checks all the way man. Start doing them on a regular basis, like each hour. I personally do them each time I have to use the restroom and each time I look at my watch.
      Goals:
      Staying lucid longer
Fly without falling back to the ground
      Change water into chocolate

You can and should practice during the day but it's difficult if you're not biphasic at least. You also need to establish a habit, a ritual of some sort that slows your down, both physically and mentally.

I recommend physical exercise, music, one-pointed gazing, pranayama and binaural beats - basically in this order.

Either way, you absolutely need to have a brief nap, meaning you have to fall asleep for at least 15 minutes. Then attempt WILD/OBE immediately - without moving or thinking.

      This should get you started.

Hm, really? I always tried to LD in the afternoon. It usually ended in me staying up for two hours or just falling asleep. I'll have to try that.

I agree that you don't have to wait for the night to try a lucid. Any excuse for a nap, right?

Besides napping, any form of meditation should help sharpen your focus. I'm convinced that daydreeaming helps strengthen your visualization and imagination too. You can also do things like trying to stay aware for as long as possible as you walk around your daily life. Its harder than it sounds, but very rewardinig.

Yeah man, you don't need much during a nap to reach your REM as opposed to the 5-7 hours at night.

Not much. The very most is getting into the mood to lucid dream tonight.

Practice "dream control" during the day. For example, say in your next lucid you wanna use telekinesis. Practice controlling objects by imagining them moving around and having them come towards you and etc. You can do that for basically any aspect of dream control. Work on noticing sounds, textures, smells, just become more aware over all. If you want to learn to control elements, watch the way water flows and how it interacts with the other objects/elements, you can do these exercises for basically anything.

Watch videos related to lucid dreaming... here are some of the ones I watch. Some really depressingly awful movies in there, but good effects:

Meditation is something you can do during the day, and should help you in your lucid dreaming induction and control.
