WILD--so close. am i too excited?

I've had 3 WILDs this week. Great, right? Except they lasted about 4 seconds each.

The first one I saw that my room was bright, realized I was dereaming (maybe it halfway between a WILD/DILD?), did a throat RC, got excited and tried to pounce on the ground next to my bed. I "whited-out" and woke up. My fault.

The second and third happened back-to-back last night. I got vibrations, but failed to WILD. I WILD'd successfully about a minute later and ended up in my dream-bed. Wanting to be careful, I did a throat RC, nose RC, and another throat RC, all of which passed. I tried to slowly get out of bed, but woke up.

I kept still and after a few seconds DEILD'd into the same scenario. I did the throat RC, which passed. I said to myself, as calm as possible, "I am dreaming, I am God," but by time I finished, I was awake and heard myself finish talking in real life. A final RC failed. This one was less than 2 seconds.

No matter what I do, these seem to fade very quickly. Any advice? Does it sound like I'm just getting too excited? Should I just keep practicing and trying to stay calm?

Don't say "I'm god" and you'll be fine.

Neither Will alone, nor Strength alone.

Actually by time I got to that, I was already awake. But that would be pretty intense, I didn't even think about that

What about the second time though? What are some tips to maintain/increase lucidity within the first few seconds of a dream?

Try to calm yourself down. Increasing vividness in dreams is attained by rubbing your hands together, or spinning around. I dunno, try those. Good luck.
