Question Does setting a clock train you to wake up without it eventually?

A few induction techniques involve waking up after 4-6 hours of sleep (I'l looking at you WB2B, MILD, and WILD). I know that for MILD, you set the intention of waking up after dreams, but it's advised to set an alarm clock for the start. Eventually, one should be waking up naturally.
      questions:
      1. Is there anyone who was bad at waking up on their own, used an alarm clock for a while, and over time you got better?
      2. Is there anyone who was never good at waking up on their own and always has to use alarm clock?
Any answers longer than a yes/no are highly appreciated.

Also, I've found how to not wake anybody else up with an alarm. I wrapped my alarm clock in a towell and it fit snugly next to my pillow, thus muffling the sound so only I can hear it. I can punch the snooze button through the towell, then unwrap it better to turn the alarm off for good.
Always know sometimes think it's me
But you know I know when it's a dream
I think I know I mean yes, but it's all wrong
That is I think I disagree

I have never been able to wake up without an alarm clock at a specific time, I always sleep eight or ten hours (or two or three, if I fall asleep early in the evening) after falling asleep, but then again I never fall asleep until 2 or 3 A.M. or later (no matter when I go to bed, unless I'm really really tired). I even start sleeping through my alarm only a few weeks, or even days, after I start using it, and may even sleepwalk to the alarm to switch it off as long as I don't fall down.

So, the short answer is: Yes to question 2.

I wake up right before my alarm all the time, after a few weeks. I guess it just depends on how heavy a sleeper you are.

I always wake up about 5-10 minutes before my alarm goes off and just turn it off. But I don't want to turn it off completely, just in case.
