Exclamation Way to get a DILD in every single dream?

Please join me in testing this idea.

The idea is, you see people in every single dream you have. Literally.

So do a secret RC whenever you see another human being.

      It's that simple.

It has the potential to turn every single dream that you have into a DILD. Wouldn't that be great?

If you want to stop having DILDs, stop doing the RCs.

Please join me in trying this and post results. I will as well.

      Happy dreaming!

EDIT: If this sounds too difficult, daunting, tedious, or wasteful of brain space, please read my second post for a much easier, modified way of doing this.

You must not get out much. HOW many RCs would that be?

Actually, I do get out quite a bit. This would be hundreds of RCs for me, if but for the simple fact that I only do it for 1 in every 30 or so strangers, and I don't do more than one RC per day per person. It cuts it down a tiny bit.

Actually, a huge bit. So if the prospect of doing an RC for everyone that you see seems daunting (no shit, it is) then cut it down like me. Don't worry, it's theoretically just as effective.

      Happy RCs!

That is an idea I've considered myself. I keep trying to make my resolve to do an RC whenever I see friends. But this seems more general and hopefully would be more successful. I will give it a try.

sounds a little intense for me, i guess i see people in every dream, but it's not the people that make dreams unique, its usually the odd world or acts of the people, so i try and do RC's when something weird happens. let me know how this turns out though, if it's effective, i'll give it a shot...

Well, I've been trying for this many days:

      Half-heartedly/casually: 2-3

      Intensely: 1

I have not had a DILD yet, since school and all of the distracting things that come with it (homework, studying, tests) have distracted me quite a bit, and frankly my grades are a higher priority than RCs, but I will try very hard in the next few days.

School may actually be an advantage to this technique, because I see tons of people every day at school.

      Gotta keep goin'

Yea I think the main problems with this are those dreams where there aren't any other people, and then the fact that if you have to RC that many times you have to remain very very precise and attentive when you do them, otherwise it'll just become a habit and you'll go through BS RCs whenever you come across people.

I usually do at least 3 different RCs when I do RCs, and if I am looking at text or time, I look at least 3 different time. So that's 5 RCs every time I feel cued. I don't think I could manage 5 RCs every time I see a person lol

It's not just RCs; it's RCs in combination with asking the question "am I dreaming" that results in more DILDs.

For me, a really good one is checking the sky for strange shit. In my dreams, the sky is always doing something, like an eclipse, or a large galaxy is there, or a meteor, etc.

Well if you are doing RCs and NOT asking yourself if you are dreaming, you are doing your RCs ALL wrong.

Which is why I'm always stressing the fact that when you do a RC, you need to just pause, clear your thoughts, and prove to yourself why you are in reality and why you are not in a dream. Because you shouldn't just passively ask yourself if you are dreaming, you need to consciously and rationally determine why you are or aren't.

yeah RC's can't really be an unconcious act or they will be so dreaming. you have too question your reality and actually focus on wether or not you're dreaming, and sometimes you are, suprisingly. so thats dank.

I do ask myself if I'm dreaming and forgive me if I forgot to state that (which I did ).

People are the most difficult dream sign for me to recognize. The trouble is, I am always distracted when I am with another person. Obviously, if I am talking with them, I am not thinking about dreaming. I am listening to them, trying to follow what they are saying, ect. This makes it the hardest time to hold onto my awareness, or remember to do a RC.

      Ah I see.

      ...

      I feel stupid.

Robot Butler: I know it's hard, but imagine the possibilities if you get it down! Every dream is a DILD!

      Ah no problem, no worries

And not necessarily every dream, you'll always miss a few. You'll always forget a few.

I am trying to reality check everytime I walk through a door way. But it isn't going to well.

My dreams don't usually involve me walking through doorways, or if they do, I don't stop and think, "Hey! Look! It's a doorway!"

      ...

I usually just rush through any doorways, distracted my current adventure.

I don't think that that would work for me...

      Good luck, though!

Btw, any results from people trying this out?

For this reason, I tend to do RCs also when I am totally alone.

I'm gonna have to put my experiments with this on pause temporarily... I have recently gotten into astral projection and I want to succesfully AP before devoting more time to these RCs.

Go ahead and laugh, say I'm crazy, but I've had a short OBE before that would have turned into a AP if I hadn't gotten worried about what could go wrong and snapped back into my body completely, and you shouldn't poke fun until you've tried it for yourself. It freaked the shit out of me when I almost did it and got that short OBE last nght.

Read an AP tutorial and try sometime (I try at night).

Hopefully this post won't be enough to get this whole thread moved to Beyond Dreaming
