      How improve dream recall??

I know this seems like the usually question but i had to ask it. I know the basic dream journal but the prob is remembering dreams to put in it!

      My complications:
Cannot wake up in th middle of the night
I just can't seem to get mantras to work!(tips please!!!)

So if you have any other ideas I would appreciate them!

If you want to wake up at night I would suggest drinking lots of water before sleep, this usually do it for me, alarms are just annoying and might ruin your chance of remebering your dream.
And besides you always wake up from your dreams u just don't notice it, drinking water makes it neccesery for your body to get up so u can go to the bathroom. if u do this u will wake up after your dreams improving your chance of remebering them.

      hope this helps

i didn't think this method would work until I tried it...

basically I relax so my mind gets less active, then repeat "i will wake up after my dreams and remember them" over and over for about 2 minutes. i dont just say it for the sake of saying it, but try to understand what it means and help it sink into my subconscious. surprisingly this works and every morning i wake up 2 or 3 times and recall my dreams. it was only last week i couldn't recall any dreams at all too!

Try and recall what you can remember about yesterday. This conditions your brain to recall things much better, including your dreams... The aim of this is to sharpen your recall process. I used this to get back on track..Hope this helps

Eating certain foods before bed can make dreams more vivid. Dairy products help.

When you wake up in the morning, make sure your dream journal is at your bed side and record immediately. Take short notes. It gets easier as time goes on.
