      Lucid focus

I was trying to WILD yesterday, it failed, so I went to sleep, but I got lucky and hand a Lucid Dream but then I thought, ok let's start focusing, I heard voices from my mom coming from everywhere, so I tried to focus on something else to let the voices go away, but instead I woke up.
      Any tips?

Several tips, however there all my own personal opinions and experiences.

First thing you said "You tried to WILD". When ever i WILD. Its a matter of me not trying to hehe.

I find it much easier to WILD, when you clear your mind of all thoughts and stress, go deep into your mind and forget about your body and everything else. Keep your mind completely clear, but always conscious.

Whenever i WILD, i find it easier to not try to focus completely on it. Just let it happen, If your hearing voices, well don't worry about them, thats part of it. When i WILD i hear voice all the time. I specifically hear voices even before i go into the Lucid Dream state.

I will hear voices and sounds and such. There suppose to be there, there not going to go away. I personally have a real bitch for a mom, but i love her to death either way. Id know how it would be to hear her voice invading a lucid dream your trying to have hehe.

But you just gotta go with it.

When your trying to lucid dream, don't try, just let your mind take you away. Release control to your sub conscious mind.

Well these are all my opinions of course. Im able to say all this stuff now because i just last night had my first LD last night in a couple weeks or so.

So all the memory's are fresh in my head still.

Hope any of this helps you.

Actually, I think he meant he hears voices after he's already lucid. (If I'm wrong, just ignore me)

Anyways, usually if I ignore something in an LD it goes away eventually. If not, try yelling "shut up". You are in control, after all. Assert yourself.

Were you hearing the voices as if they were breaking through from the real world into your dream world? I wonder if this was purely hallucination/ dream content, or if it was real sounds that were coming through.

I often hear voices during a WILD, right as I am entering the dream. The way you described it, it sounds like you were already in a dream when you heard the sounds, so I don't think it is the same thing.

I think you did the right thing, focusing on something else to make the voices go away. I find the best way to get rid of something in your dream is to just distract yourself from it, or divert your attention.

And congratulations on the lucid, even if it was not what you were aiming for.
