"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."
- Albert Einstein
"We're so engaged in doing things to achieve purposes of outer value that we forget the inner value, the rapture that is associated with being alive, is what it is all about."
-Joseph Campbell
"He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. This disgrace to civilisation should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, deplorable love-of-country stance, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder."

the sounds like it could be emotionally traumatizing. What if you end up killing yourself from all this subconcious stuff. Maybe you should write a tutorial. Mental suicide induction of lucid dreams. |

That's certainly an unusual technique, but I'll just bet it works, because almost every time I've become lucid has been when I have been having a really difficult time doing something, like running late for work, or having trouble doing something. As I don't like the idea of picturing myself being stabbed to death in my mind, as I would not want to take a chance on attracting this sort of experience to myself, which could happen by repeatedly visualizing it, I will modify the idea and will probably modify it a lot, to see myself flying around all over the universe or something of a positive nature, but I still like the idea of picturing something before going asleep to create the events in which one can become lucid. Thanks for sharing it. |

maybe i'm going off on a limb here, but for myself and like some have said above, having a hard time like being late for work, or a nightmare may make rc's easier, which leads to lucidity. (this is confussing, try to bare with me) |
