      WILD help...

I was lying on the couch after a FA, and I KNEW it was a dream because I don't sleep on the couch ever, but I could feel my waking body as well...I attempted to get up, and my real body started to move as well...It felt like I hit a forcefield(SP) and everything went black...I could feel the vibrations in my entire body(they were accelerating), and it would have taken a great deal of effort to move anything. I was conscious of my bodies descent into REM. I could hear all sorts of sounds playing out around me, but they were distorted. Some were voices, but the loudest was a distorted version of my window fan. I had no idea what to do from here, so I sat and tried to figure it out. After a while, I felt like I wasn't getting enough air...I didn't want to, because I was only seconds away from a WILD, but I opened my eyes and stopped it...My goddamn blanket was over my face to keep the morning light out! That's it, I'm getting a sleep mask!

On to my question...What should I do when I get to this point? I had no clue where to go from there. How do I actually get past this and enter a dream? Should I just try to blank my mind out/concentrate on breathing, or should I do something completely different? Any help is appreciated.

When you're in this state, here is what you should do: Relax. Do not get overexcited. Let yourself drift off into the darkness, but at the same time do not loose sight of your intention to lucid dream. Imagine the place that you want the lucid dream to occur. Picture it in as much detail as possible. Hopefully it will manifest itself as a lucid dream! It sounds to me like you've got the first and hardest part of WILD pretty much covered. From there it's very easy!

Thanks for the advice! I shall try it and maybe make sure it's dark out still so I don't cover my face with my blanket again!
