      Any tips on strengthening HI?

When I read this forum, most people seem to describe their hypnagogic imagery and hallucinations to be quite vivid. In contrast, my own never seems to become more than the vaguest and darkest of fleeting shapes in vaguely different colours. Is this because I pass out too quickly from them? Or is it a question of intent, or even of recall?

In short, any techniques to improve HI?
[ ] Recall at least one dream per night with certainly.
      [ ] Have a MILD.
      [ ] Have a VILD.
      [ ] Perfect a technique

I might suggest not trying to "look" at your HI with your real eyes. Its confusing because HI seems to come somewhere "inside" your head. Messing with my real eyes, (or thinking about them) tends to make my HI vanish.

I think you might need to use your "third eye," as some yoga type sites call it. That is, focusing on the point between your real eyes. I think it happens to be where you see HI as well. Try googling third eye. Note: when I do that my real eyes are actually looking a little higher than straight ahead. I don't look at that point with my real eyes, I just close my eyes and concentrate on it.

Mainly, I'd say just try and stay calm and not engage your brain. That always makes it disappear for me. Just sit and watch!
