Seeking: Lucid supplement information...

-------------
I apologize in advance if there are other threads such as this. I looked for one that might answer my question, however I didn't run across one. I generally try to refrain from starting topics. If there is a thread for this and I am just taking up space feel free to direct me in that direction.
--------------
Anyhow - I have seen supplements mentioned a lot that people claim aid them in lucid dreaming.

I'm trying to increase the amount of lucids that I have. I have lucid dreams, however lately I've been having a lot less of them than I was, say, a month ago.

I've heard things mentioned such as apple juice and b12(I think?).

I would be much obliged if you would care to share what works for you.

Thank you!

I had some success in increasing dream vividness taking b6 before bed.

Also, I tried Galantamine on a number of occasions with WBTB, and I had several successes (around 4 out of maybe a dozen attempts). Galantamine dramatically speeds up and makes easier the transition in the WILD process. Unfortunately my bottle of GM was exposed to moisture and I had to throw it out.

If you are interested, search the forums for Galantamine, and also Choline--the two are often used together.

Edit: People often talk about stuff like apple juice, and I just don't see the sense in that. An ordinary everyday food may have a very slight statistical effect on LDing (like 1% or less), but just 'cause someone happened to have an LD on the night they drank some juice does not justify connecting the two causally. Stuff like apple juice, I am convinced, could never beat the odds of placebo. Galantamine, on the other hand, has real substantial effects--like a 30% increase in chances of having a WILD and an 80% chance in experiencing some effects, if taken properly. There are some peculiar aspects to GM, like rapid desensitization which has to be compensated for by taking it only every few days. But there is a lot of thorough stuff lying around on these forums. I'll let you go there for more.

Apple juice in my opinion is a placebo, so if you believe it works, it might for you. I've tried it and I really didn't notice a difference, but I will take a glass tonight and check.

B6 taken at the beginning of the night may help with the vividness and with the recall, which might facilitate a DILD, but probably isn't going to help you WILD.

The closest thing to a sure thing for me so far has been galantamine. You can check out what I posted on my log so far here: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...184#post916184

noooo placebos stop working when they're revealed that they're only placebos!

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Hm, I bet tofu is good for lucid dreaming.

(And for the love of whatever it is that you find important - don't tell me if it's not... just let me have this one, guys.)

I've tried melatonin + B6 and found it increased vividness and recall but I never got any LDs from that combo. I also found that if I took the B6 too early before sleep that I had real trouble falling asleep.

I've just received a bottle of galantamine + choline and tried it for the first time the other night with a WBTB. Tried to WILD but couldn't get past the vibrations (got there about 4 times but something kept pulling me back) so eventually I just let myself go to sleep normally. I then had 3 LDs in a row that were very short but very vivid...
