A problem... could it be a new technique?

Waking Life - 1 month ago: I came back to the site to start researching how to become lucid. Till this day (Oct/8/2008) no luck.

Waking Life - Last night: Me and my long-term girlfriend (Sept/17/2005) created a deal that if we could go a certain length without a little argument, we would go on a nice date this weekend.

Dream Life - Last night: I did something that I know that would spark a real argument in real life. We didn't however argue because of the deal we made...

      ---

So why is it that for about a month now I have been trying to attain lucidy with no luck, but when I proposed a deal with my girlfriend last night, it was remembered in the dream? What is the significance? Can anyone explain this before I go through several ideas to only establish them as a theory?

      Thanx...

your subconscious remembers something important in RL and plays it in a dream, no theory, just a simple thing that happens in dreams.

... I fail to see how this is a new technique...

To establish something as theory is actually rather significant. I suggest you read up on scientific research and the scientific method.

I see what he means, he is saying it's a new tech because of memory from waking life entering the dream. Like I collect items as a hobby in waking life and in the dream I find I have something that I don't have in my collection in real life and conclude than I'm dreaming and become lucid. I have that experience before about comparing the current dream activity with waking life and find that it does not match up.

But how is that a technique? It just sounds like a DILD. A little bit of logic cluing you in to the fact that it's a dream, because things don't add up...?

Well then it could be a method rather than a technique right?
