      Extreme itchiness!

So, whenever I try to WILD, at least most of the time, I start to get deep into SP, zoning in and out of dreams, when suddenly I become super itchy. I can only stand it for about a minute, then I freak out, throw of the covers, and scratch myself to the bone! Is the itching a sign of me getting close to completing a WILD, because I've heard of people feeling things before a WILD. Any feedback?

I have had this, or something similar, many times before. All I can say is try to ignore it. Don't shun it like, "I won't itch, I am not going to scratch..." etc. Just let the itchy feelings sortof pass through. I guess instead of saying ignore it, you should more allow it and just give it no attention. This has saved me many times.

Or just scratch as soon as you feel something, rather than letting it build and build until you go nuts.

One of these techniques should work for you... just try both!

Well i think i could answer this one better for you so it wont screw up your chances of WILDing.

If you have to move at all (going slow to a short distance to scratch wont hurt) then you most likely will have to start over again.
I've had this exact same problem, trying to WILD and i notice my foots itching and i try to make it go away until it gets to the point that my leg jerks around involunatarily. Theres really only 2 things you can do, The first one helps me and I use it almost everynight.

1.like InsaneKid said, don't just ignore it, Forget it.
Work out a math problem or some other intense thoughts in your mind,
to the point where your not paying attention to the irritations(this works for me, takes my mind off of the itch.)..this is not just "mind wondering". You have to think DEEPLY about something, like mentally drawing a picture from scratch in your head.

      2. Just scratch because your a patient person and its getting annoying.

The Itching is your body testing you to see if your mind is a sleep.
If you move/scratch it holds off from inducing final Sleep Paralysis.
Of you don't move, you should be soon off to dream land.

lol yes, that was actually in the original post,
but im pretty positive EVERYONE on this site has read the "how to trick your body to fall asleep" blah blah.
they asked for help, not an explanation.
Just pay attention to something else, so much to where you seclude the world around you.

      Nose and forehead for me.
They really are fantastically itchy though.

I think I can tell the difference now between a normal itch and the
      fake out.
