i woke up around 5am.I didnt move and all i heard was the fan in the room but then from just hearing that it turned into a horrible horrible scream like if a guy was lit on fire to be scream like that i dunno.I read somewhere i think about things like that but whatever.I tried to let it pass when it was just begining but my heart started beating really fast and well in a short way to put it ill just say it SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME!

They are hallucinations that happen naturally in the process of falling asleep. It happens because your brain is shifting into a dream state. Sometimes these things get really distorted, I once heard someone's snores turn into a guitar solo

That's no reason to quit. I actually find hallucinations like that interesting and amazing of what the mind can project so realistically, not afraid. I've still yet to experience the falling or spinning sensations of SP.

Sounds terrifying. Hypnopompia can be really odd. The pyschotic quality of the state can sometimes leave me really shaken - If you fear it, it can manifest into something altogether more horrifying.. Control of the fear comes with the realization of it's true nature, that of being an hallucination..

i think i heard one time that when u experience halucinations you should shut ure eyes and picture something to suit it(in this case its probably best to picture u being a super hero and ure saving someone from a fire) then sort of zoom in to it and "slip into" the dream.
i think this is like a WILD

It was wierd because I didnt even notice it was happening until I got shaken awake (this happened long before I found out about lucid dreaming). It was actually a pretty bad solo though lol.

yeah, there really isnt any need to be afraid, as said above it's your mind beginning the transition into the dream state.

This happened to me once but it sounded like a jet engine beside my ears and everything start vibrating uncontrollably. I wasnt afraid, i was actually really enjoying the sensations. I believe that the key is not to become invloved with these noises, but to just observe them
