Keep trying for a while. If you cant get it, then you could start looking into them.

Ditto. Nova Dreamers are just a tool. Work on trying to Lucid Dream naturally, then see how you feel. You most likely won't need it anyway.

The thing about the nova dreamer is that you are supposed to be doing all the work you'd be doing to lucid dream 'naturally' anyway. The goal is to reality check whenever you see crazy lighting, so that when the nova dreamer flashes your eyes you do reality checks. Theoretically, you'll be putting in the same amount of work, plus the cost of purchasing the nova dreamer, plus having to sleep with it on. It may provide a foolproof dream sign (I'm not sure, I've never used one) even though a regular dream sign may change, but again, to me I don't think that it's worth the cost. How long have you been trying for? What have you been doing??

I have been going for a week now, doing reality checks at least 3 times an hour, and also whenever i see one of my dream signs. I probably wasn't going to buy the nova dreamer anyway, i was just seing if i should try it, but i probably wont

Yea if you've only been trying for a week, I'd just stick to that and not even waste time considering a Nova Dreamer. I'm sure you'll get lucid any day now

I have not used the NovaDreamer but I do know this from experience with a similar idea I made myself using light as a cue. But this was the problem I encountered 1) Developed anxiety for the light going off and cannot sleep properly/soundly. 2) The light goes off but I just shruged it off as the light going off and continue dreaming. 3) The light goes off and I 'remember' about lucid dreaming but never got lucid. So the idea only works in theory but in practise it needs more than just a light going off and even with training to recognize the light it'll still not work because it's an outside thing and the mind is not concious to know anything that comes from outside.
