This is my 4th LD ever, and my first in a about 3 months.

I can't be entirely sure, but I think I was having a pretty long dream before I became lucid, but I can only remember the last 10 seconds or so before I became lucid. So I was chasing my Manager down the street for some reason (I have no clue, lol) and we were in this residential neighborhood, one I didn't recognize from real life. As my manager was about to round this corner, an armored truck skidded around the corner on two wheels, and headed straight for my manager, running him over (or so I thought, but there was no blood and it appeared my manager just disappeared).

Suddenly, I snapped into lucidity after seeing this. I think it's becoming easier for me recognize dreamsigns. Anyways, what happened next is disappointing. As soon as I realized I was dreaming, I sprinted forward like a 1/4 mile in 2 seconds. Then I remembered that I needed to practice increasing my lucidity because I ALWAYS lose it quickly (my longest lucid was about 15 seconds). So I stopped, stood there looked at my hands, and instantly began rubbing them together. It was really cool, it was like when you see in the movies someone moving real fast so you only see a blur. Felt weird too, like I got this fuzzy warm sensation in my hands. Then I tried to squat down and feel the ground, become more aware of my surroundings, but this is where the dream ended. As soon as I bent down to touch the ground, I felt my real eyes and they began to open. This whole experience lasted a total of maybe 10 seconds.

I wonder what I'm doing wrong? I tried to gain full lucidity but I seem to always wake up.
