      Afraid of WILDs

I was all ready to pull off a WILD, but then I got scared, scared of the sleep pralysis and scary noises and visions, and the hallucinations I might get after. I'm also a bit scared of the dark (don't tell!), lol. Are there any ways of getting past this fear? What age do you think is best to start doing a WILD?

i think you should master your fear, im the exact same and when i attempt WILD (soon) i will just ignore it and keep telling myself its normal and the HH isnt real.

i used to be scared of the dark aswel but i had no fear of it when my eyes are shut(the reason i was scared was because i thought i might see a ghost and that would scare the crap out me) if your fear is for same reason then it should be fine because your eyes would be shut. if not then keep to my original advice.

Ive never ever had a bad lucid dream or any bad imagery really. Well aside from when i was a young kid. I use to imagine the furniture in my room and such attacking me, or shadows standing over my bed.

But since i grew up i stopped worrying about it. I never go into a lucid dream worrying about that stuff.

The more you believe its going to happen, the better it will, just don't worry about it.

SP is scary if you don't realize whats going on. Once i realized what was going on, i just went with it and now when ever i get SP i recognize it and just let it happen. I know once i go into SP i can get into a lucid dream from there. So the little bit of being scared can easly be over come with the prospect of a lucid dream.

I don't think I can do any more WILDs, the whispering scared the crap outta me, and I also fell into a non lucid sleep. Thanks TheMoon, I'm gonna try it. No whispering is gonna happen tonight!!

Oh yeah and btw, I get scared to be alone in the dark sometimes as well.

I normally leave one of my computers on to keep me company

A lot of times i can lay down in the dark and goto sleep with no problems. Or goto SP.

However once in a while ill lay down, and i will feel very paranoid. Or i get to SP and i start to feel paranoid.

Its not from smoking weed either, honest

Also its not a thing of being scared of the dark, as much as it is being scared of whats in the dark. hehe

      Same
"Hello . . . would you like some COOKIES??"
      Me: "I . . . uh . . . don't think so . . ." *runs*
So can I really change the hallucinations and sounds to something else, like a soothing tune?

I dunno. I'm excited and positive in SP. When whispering begins I usually listen to what the voice has to tell me. Then I try to respond in my imagination.

Embrace it. Remember, you are in complete control during this. You can easily change what you don't like into something that would be more pleasing by demanding it. Keep an open mind and don't rush yourself

      Good luck
