      Forgetting to RC

I used to RC quite often throughout the day, but now I have gotten out of the habit. Consequently I haven't had a lucid dream in what has most definitely been at least 3 months. I really want to have a lucid dream and I keep writing in my dream journal each night before I go to bed, but I haven't been reading Dream Views nearly as much as I used to and I just haven't had lucid dreaming on my mind. It's very sad, really. I want to lucid dream, but I don't take any initiative to attempt WILD or even bother to RC.

I just wanted to rant a bit. Anybody else been through periods like this?

You might want to consider a different approach, perhaps one which offers you a greater incentive to RC. Life in [apparent] physical reality is a bit like being in a prison, only the gates and cell doors are unlocked for several hours each day. The catch, of course, is that nobody will inform you when it is that those gates and doors are open. So you have to keep "pushing on them" yourself. Don't think of it as a mere RC. Your very freedom is at stake! After all, finding the gates to be open doesn't just mean being able to leave your cell, it means becoming the God of your own universe. What better incentive could there be?

      ...Keep pushing on those gates!

Yeah, I have only recently got back into it after about 4 months without one. It took me about a month to have one again because I was being too lazy with my RCs and dream journal but then I got desperate enough to have one hence I found the motivation to put in the effort and now I'm having them regularly. You have to put in the effort unfortunately, there's really no other way, but it's worth it.

I haven't been browsing the forums like I used to, maybe that's the problem. Now I only really go on to write down in my dream journal. Well I'm hoping it ends soon. I feel closer, I'm remembering more and more dreams. With winter break soon I'll be attempting WILD and that might break the spell. Good luck everyone!
