      can't stay on track

A dild is the only way I have ld'd so far. But the problem is is it's completley random I don't just go into a dream and say "I am going to do a reality check" I can't during the day in the real world remember to do reality checks any ideas?

Yep, you're not alone! Trying to get lucid is like trying to find the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Actually, it's more like trying to hold onto a live fish (elusive but not impossible) but that doesn't sound as poetic as the rainbow analogy! The point is... it's tricky. Although there are some to whom it comes naturally most of us have to work hard at it, but the rewards are worth it!

I suggest you read the tutorials page, in particular try learning how to practise WILD (wake induced lucid dream) following a WBTB (wake back to bed). Also read the tut on RCs and keep doing these as much as possible because RCs do at least produce some LDs. I know it's hard to remember but once you get into the habit of doing them it becomes easier to remember. Maybe try wearing your watch on the other wrist for a while and that should remind you to do a RC every time you look at it. Try to do an RC every time anything even slightly strange happens.

WILD is difficult, but it does work and even if you don't get a LD you might get some cool HH (Hypnagogic Hallucination) including vibrations, stunning visuals and strange auditories. Watch out for False Awakenings by doing a RC every time you wake up. FAs can be common during WILD and they produce very vivid LDs for me.

Read all about it and keep learning and trying different things to establish what works best for you.

      Good luck

Do you have a plan to do/accomplish something.
Have it in your mind before bed and repeat it till you sleep.
I mean really repeat it over and over in your head, till you fall asleep. It being your last thought.
Like "When I dream, I will RC when I arrive" or "I will try float in the air then move slowly forwards" or something like that.
One other main thing to do whilst doing this, is to see your dream body doing it, in your mind as well.
Remember when you have done it before in your dream or just imagine in your mind.
      To sum up:
      - Say what you want to achieve(in your mind) repeatedly till sleep AND
      - Picture your dream body doing it (by either remembering yourelf from a passed LD experience, or Imagine your dream body doing it)
      Hope this makes sense.

Since I have been doing this I have had more than double the LDs.

DreamChaser is exactly right. You need to stay dedicated and have a goal. Its like anything else in life, it takes time and practice.
