Any tips on having a lucid dream tonight?

Tell me what you guys think about this plan. I'm going to go to sleep around two and then set an alarm to wake me up at 6 a.m(I'm going to get up at 9)
When i wake up at 6 i'm going to go to the bathroom and then start counting and not stop thinking about stuff.(telling myself im going to have a lucid dream and do reality checks.) I usually would fall asleep within the first minute or two so i'm hoping to go straight into a lucid dream and if not i will hopefully do a RC.

I've almost had a lucid dream before but right when i realized i was in a dream i got way too exited and wokeup within seconds

Any suggestions on how to increase my chances of getting a lucid dream tonight?

First, begin to think about why you want to have a lucid dream to begin with. Then, begin thinking of all the ways you would enjoy using your lucid dreaming skills.  THink if you suceeded how much you would enjoy it.  Take your time with this and see yourself doing each thing as you think of it.  Think about how much you will enjoy remembering your dream and writing it down.  Think about what  you would do the next night with your new ability.

As you lay down to go to sleep on your bed and with your eyes open observe your enviroment, then your body, then your  breath. See this as it is; you waking life and your waking dream. Notice all external phenomenon meeting the internal: objects to thoughts and thoughts to feelings.  Next Close your eyes and notice your thoughts. Then feel your self watching your thoughts. Watch your feelings react to your thoughts and vice versa.  Relax into the spaces between thoughts, feeling and sensation.  Abide in these spaces and know you are awake in it all. If you adjust your body then watch it adjust as though you were breathing. Your body may move on its own volition. Just watch it. If you hear snoring listen but do not act on your curiousity. If you are in pure darkness recognize you are awake within it. When you see light and objects recognize this as dream.

If your trying to WILD, you want to not count or do anything your mind. Clear your mind and just focus on looking into your mind until dreams start to appear. Then move into them. Thats what i do at least, if i start thinking about stuff or counting ect, my mind wakes up too much.

Next time you have a lucid dream, even if you get excited a little bit. Keep laying down and relax and clear your mind. Ill have 10 - 20 different lucid dreams in a row from WBTB. However if you wake up in SP, or if you wake up, lay back down and you go into SP, you can easly lucid dream, your body still wants to sleep hehe. Well thats what happens with me.
