Having A Hard Time Attaining Lucidity

Im seeming to have trouble getting into my dreams and exploring it like a lucid one. I know im dreaming i just cant do anything in my dream cuz it feels like im only asleep a few seconds and i cant get my mind into the dream.....its hard to explain its like i cant get something to make me say WTF is going on im dreaming or doing a reality check etc. I tried WILDing but i find it a little scary when you do it and for some reason now everytime i just want to sleep i feel myself going numb even when im not trying to WILD...can somebody teach me ways to gain control of my dreams and actually attain lucidity...i know in the past ive done it without realising or even knowing all this stuff....

how many hours a night are you sleeping?

most lucid dreams are going to happen later in the night, or early morning

our first dreams we have are usually random abstract nonsense. even the best lucid dreamers have trouble remembering these

the next dream is usually our brains going over daily garbage. so you'll dream about work, or school, or eating, or bathing, or something else mundane. its hard to get lucid in these dreams because were so involved with the daily activity. like, we think we NEED to be at work, or we NEED to eat some food, or so on and so on.

after you go through daily garbage, then your mind is more free. these dreams are the most vivid and surreal, making it easier for you to realize its a dream

if you're not getting enough sleep, you are waking up before you get to those more vivid dreams. if this is the case, sometimes just adding one extra hour of sleep can make all the difference

if you find a lot of your dreams are mundane, it means you're stressed. and you might be falling asleep still thinking about all the things that need to be done. in that case, you won't be lucid at all and your dreams will be boring. stress kills lucid dreaming and it can last for months!

if this is your case, as it is with so many - try some relaxation techniques before sleeping

Keep writing in your dream journal.
Never give up hope on LDing.

Eventually the dreams will become clearer and this
      problem won't be a factor
