      Back To Dream Journaling!

Nobody reads my dream journal, so I doubt anybody cares, but I am going to start recording all my dreams again! In truth, I have never been disciplined about it in the LEAST. But this time I am! By golly! So...

I'm making a commitment: for this work week (through thursday or friday night) I am going to record in a journal ALL the dreams I remember as soon as I wake up, then post them here on dreamviews when I get the chance. I am also going to try to WILD twice each night, once when I go to bed, and again approximately 5 hours later using this method here: http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=62282 [Thank you BillyBob!]

Anybody want to join me in this relatively simple little challenge? I have a feeling alot of you out there are like me and are failing to have lucid dreams because, well, it just isn't that big a deal for you. Therefore, you don't put much commitment in it.

      So hey, who's with me?

Yea it would be nice to start journaling again, for me I have a dream every night but I neglect to write them down because I'm too dam lazy and I get up suddenly.

But yea I guess I should start writing them down again
thx for the kick to get me going again

wish you luck Dreamnoob! [your name is hilarious btw ]

I actually just took a nap with the goal of writing down any dreams. Unfortunately, I didn't remember anything! I remember having dreams but no recall at all. It's weird how strikingly much better recall is when you keep a journal.. Hopefully this week will help.

We all dream many dreams a night.
We just don't remember them all. You are remembering around one a night so far.

Gotta luv noobs ready to retort.
They are usually smaller ones linking each time, prob without you knowing.
It may seem like one big one.

Depending on your sleep cycle you will have three to four REM episodes with dreams. The last dream is usually about 20 minutes but may last up to 40 minutes. The dreams you normally remember are from this last dream phase. Mostly the last few minutes before waking up are usually remembered.

for most people, when they go in and out of dreams as you say, they enter a new dream situation each time. But maybe Dreamnoob goes in and out of the same general dream situation? (Kind of like lord of the rings is seperated into 3 parts!)
I tend to think each person sort of has their own 'dream world' that exists basically as its own plane of reality that can be entered and reentered each night or througout the night.

Yeah. I don't doubt dreamnoob has a long dream, after all its his/her dream.
Agreeing, its prob linked dreams possibly even seeming seamless.

Maybe dreamnoob has mastered DEILDing without the LDing.

srry dreamchaser didnt mean to sound edgy was just trying to explain, for me it can be like many multiple scenes with same charcters and the same continuing conflict, I dunno if you would consider that separate dreams but they seem to flow perfectley.

Also, another question I can remember a few dreams from my childhood clearly, is everyone able to do that?

Yeah, I am only going on years of reading world-renowned LD authors,
      you are prob right.

We often fill waking life residue with events in our dreams and these older dreams or circumstances are used to fill these voids.
It's easier for our minds and is more intimate, so more effective.
We often wont remember having these repeated dreams on awakening, but is a main reason you may remember those dreams so clearly when you think of them later.

Please dont tell me you have never had it since a child.
I am saying you prob have, just dont remember.

Gotta love pompous punks trying to get cocky with an innocent thread on lucid dreaming forums.

Never been called a pompous punk before. But hey Clint Eastwood.
Wait till you have been here a while, and try to help some noobs,
then they tell you how wrong you are, or what is a better way.
Especially when you have experienced it many times and read here of hundreds of others experiencing it, but no, I am wrong and pompous.
      Ok.

I was definitely talking about DreamChaser; his approach lacked crass, though, in retrospect mine was just as bad.

      Keep dreaming...
