      Dream Recall --> Lucid Dreaming

hey guys, ive been recording my dreams every night and have excellent recall now every nite. i have also been doing WBTB using this timer i made on my ipod to listen to while i sleep so it wakes me up at specific intervals. this has greatly helped in dream recall and the amount of dreams i get...but now i need help on using this great dream recall and all to turn those dreams into lucid dreams. so if someone can point me in the right direction that would be great thanx!!!

Well now that you have a good recall you need to recongnize things that appear in your dreams commonly. It could be a person, place, anything that occurs often in them. These are your dream signs, so you train yourself to recognize them and do a RC when you see them. I assume you know what a RC is, then you should become lucid in your dream, but then thats a whole other level, that goes into control and such. But keep me updated and ask away any questions

What I recommend is, read through your dreamjournal. You'll see that you have some things you dream about very often. For me it is for example my girlfriend, school and whatever.

So what you now should do is, EVERY TIME when you meet/see one of those things, do a reality check.
As example, if I saw my girlfriend now, I should think of the possibility that this may be a dream, and do a reality check. Do it whenever you think of it, ALLTOUGH you are shure it is not a dream, because in your dream, you will also be shure...

As a matter of fact, after a time when you've done this, you will do it also in your dreams. You will then stand somewhere, see someone coming and plugg your nose and try to breath as always, bored, not thinking it would work as it never does and SUDDENLY you feel air coming through your fingers and become lucid as once.

      So short:

•Read Journal and make a list of Dreamsigns
•Everytime you see a dreamsign in you waking life, do a reality check (or two)
•Do the same in your dream

      Hints:
      - There are a lot of reality checks, but they may also fail in a dream. Your dream may trick you so if it fails, maybe do a second one.
      - My favorite one, which always works for me, is plugging my nose and trying to breath. BUT! You really have to try, also when you are shure you are awake, really try as if it was a dream
      - Last but not Least, a good dreamsign is dreaming itself, Me for example, I always do a reality check when I think about dreaming. That's because it is more easy to remember than other dreamsigns (I do not always think of reality checks when I go to school or see my gf, thinking of something else then...) and additionally you'll also think about it in your dream from time to time.

Last thing: This is just one of many methods, it might not be the best one, it might not work for everybody, but it does for me. ofcourse it is a method which requires a bit luck and is not controllable, but it does need nearly no time effort and you do not have to stand up at 3 o clock in the night. Additionally it is great for beginners, because wild techniques are too difficult when you haven't had lucid dreams before, in my opinion again.

      Hope I could help

Remember to also ask your self if it's a dream if something strange happens... Like for example if you hear a strange noise or if some one is acting strange etc, it can be anything. If you do this there is also a chance that you might do this in your dreams too. Question reality

This have been what have induced all my lucid dream; For example when I saw my grandma that is dead in RL I questioned myself "Isn't my grandma really dead?" So I did a RC and I was dreaming. None of my lucid dreams have yet been induced by seing a dream sign, but I guess that will happen once too when I have more of them.

I would reccomend the MILD technique. You say that you've already got great recall, and MILD uses autosuggestion, which should make it go even better.

Pick your dream signs (recurring elements in your dreams), and perform reality checks. You'll start getting lucids if your dream recall is this good.

I had another lucid last night, first time in a while. I haven't even been trying really lately, so it was a bit of a surprise. But all I tend to do in them is float and fly around the house! And there's never anybody else around! It's kinda boring, but I can never seem to remember to try and summon anyone or change location or anything actually INTERESTING!

Yes, its recommended to do RC everytime you wake up in the morning to prevent false awakenings
