how does one wake up in SP?

      hello all

on the first night of Hearing about lucid dreaming, i woke up with a SP, panicked (as i didnt know what it was). and havnt had it since.

      correct me if im wrong:

i presume when we 'recieve' information about external senses (hearing an alarm clock, lights switched on etc) the body automaticaly wakes up, as does the mind. so the only way we can wake up in a SP, is if the Mind wakes up by itself.

but even when iv woken up in the middle of the night purley but chance (or a dream ending) the body is still alerted.

so how does one wake up the mind, by itself, quietly.

You should do some more research into what the actual causes of sleep paralysis are. I suppose if you very carefully woke yourself up from a lucid dream while in REM atonia you might be able to keep your body in a state of paralysis. Sounds like a pretty hit-and-miss way to ruin lucids though. Why do you want to be in SP?

Perhaps for easy exiting of the body for an OOB? Thats what I would use it for. At this moment, I would NOT waste my second LD exiting to stay in sleep paralysis, though

its not that i want to leave a LD. i just thought of it as part of a WBTB / WILD. when i woke up in the SP im very sure it was not from a lucid.
