      Trouble with summoning and lucidity

Most of the time I go to bed I tell myself two things. I want to have a lucid dream, and I want this ex-girlfriend to be in my dream. Whenever I am lucid, I am unable to summon this girl. I try very hard, but it never tends to work. And other times when she is in my dream, I am NEVER lucid. I must of had 50 dreams of her in the past year and none of them lucid. And 50+ lucid dreams that she is never in. What's the deal? I tried telling myself that she is a dream sign, but that didn't seem to work.

How are you trying to summon her? The exact method you use can make a lot of difference. Its usually fairly difficult to create things within your field of vision; it helps if you have the appear behind you, through a door, or around a corner or something. Also, have you tried using verbal commands? Those have a lot of power in dreams. Just try saying out loud, "When I turn around, my ex will be standing there."

Do you see this person much during waking life? If so, do a few reality checks every time you see her, and hopefully, this habit will carry over into the dream world for you.
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

I've tried many different ways to summon her including the ways you mentioned.

I try pretending she is behind me, or that she is knocking on the door, or on the phone. It actually half-worked the other morning during an LD. I was walking into rooms in my dorm calling her name and seeing if she was in any of the beds. 6 rooms later there she was. It might of been someoen else I kind of forgot that part of the dream.

I was also able to summon a car the other day which was cool, I wanted a ferrari but got a mustang

I've always had a hard time summoning people though, any other tips would be appreciated.

I would also like to know the best techniques for summonning people into dreams. I've yet to have a lucid dream but I'm trying every night. I'd like to be able to bring the people that keep showing up in my regular dreams into my lucid ones, when I start having them

Well, as with all dream control - its about belief and expectation. And confidence.
The same goes for summoning people.

As a result though, its easier to believe in some things than others.
For example - if you summon the people coming down the road behind you, its a whole lot easier to believe in than imagining them 'star trek' beam up in front of you
The beaming technique might be more fun, but takes a bit more confidence to pull it off.

Dream control is all about learning how to expect things to happen - confidence...

Summonig, for me, is both the easiest and hardest LD technique. Its hard, really hard, summoning something or someone, and i developed a system, which is hard at the beggining nd eaaaaasy later on
You have to summon a box, big enough to have inside what you're looking after. A box is very much easier to summon, as it has no difficult details and is very simple in form. You dont have to imagine much. A way of summoning the box is looking behind you expecting it to be there, maybe even yell @when i turn around, a box will be there@ not that easy, but not as hard as summoning something concrete.
When you have the box, just open it, if what you-re looking for aint there, close it...

and open it again, and again and again untilyou find what you're looking for. Is amazingly easy to summon weird things this way, and to see your inner summoning desires *i tend to summon microscopes- dont ask

      Chopos, agua cristalina
      Mimbre, agua profunda
      Corazon, agua de pupila
