      I. Am. Dreaming!

Hey guys, catchy title, i know . Well, ok so heres my brilliant idea. If one was to make their desktop picture just large, cool looking text saying "you are dreaming", do you think this could be an effective RC? I mean, maybe if you go on your computer alot during your dreams it may be effective. Or, you can make it so every time you see it you RC. I dont know, just a thought. Feed back? What does DV think?

but then in real life you would ignore them, eventually leading you to do the same in the dreams.

Deathxel is right, I think it could be more detrimental to your lucidity than beneficial.

Complacency would have to be avoided, and straight off, how many times do you really look at your desktop with awareness? It seems likely that habitually you are already running against yourself. Do you also use a computer in dreams often and see the desktop too?

If you do think you can remain aware enough when checking every time then I say go for it, but it seems almost too much a *passive* thing to be focusing on for a RC, and one that wouldn't happen so often within a regular dream.

Dreaming is quite dot to dot, often disregarding the intermissions of travelling etc. Unless you're very aware I think this may be difficult to use.
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.
