Dxm on large doses keeps u awake all night and low does has a lil affect on dreams. dxm givin me a few lucid dreams but its super unhealthy and nasty so yeah stick to legal herbs and vitamins for your lucid dreams.
Before Salvia was a drug it was an herb just like Calea Z the only difference is Salvia puts you in the dream world right away, Calea Z helps you get there faster.

Salvia isn't a drug, and it still is an herb.
The trip can last 5-10 minutes if you have a low extract.
If you smoked like 20x or 40x, you'd be hallucinating alot longer.
I have smoked salvia many times, never once tried to sleep on it, seemed like a waste of expensive salvia extract.

strength of the extract doesn't make you trip any longer. Salvinorin-A breaks down after about 10 minutes when you smoke it, regardless of how much you smoke. The only way to make it last longer is to get it into your system sublingually and you do that with fresh leaves and the quid method or a tincture wich I have never tried.

I smoke salvia at least once a month and I can attest to it's ability to aid in dreaming.

While the trip is very intense and lasts for only a few minutes, the after effects of smoking salvia are one of the many reasons why it is considered a theraputic herb.`

I put this to the test one time after I had stayed up for a pretty long time. I waited until I started to get that feeling where you're fatigued and your eyes begin to get REALLY heavy. I smoked a one hitter's worth of 100x. I'm not going to explain the trip because it wasn't part of my experiment. But after taking salvia you are in an EXTREMELY relaxed mood that can last for several hours after smoking it.

As soon as I calmed down after the trip(It really is like going to another world), I was out pretty quickly.

On this night, of all nights, I had my first WILD completely by accident. I even went in to a false awakening that was INCREDIABLY real. So real that I got up from the recliner I "woke" up in, wondered how I got in to the recliner, and climbed back in to my dream bed and promptly passed out.

There's real potential here, but honestly I wouldn't recommend it to just anyone, due to the extreme nature of the effects of salvia. Some people do indeed freak out while they are tripping on salvia.

Don't forget to use a butane lighter. More of the active chemical is released this way.....not that you really need it haha.

Might I recommend taking Salvia Sublingually as a lucid dream-aid?

If enough Salvia leaves are chewed and kept under the tongue and against the mucus membranes of the mouth it will work slightly different and last alot longer. Also since the onset of effects are slower this way, it might be better suitable to timing the onset of it's effects to be simultanious to the onset of sleep/dreams.

And perhaps we really DO need our plant allies in order to evolve our consciousness. We were made to need eachother. Like ants need hollow acacia trees to live in, offering them protection, while in turn the Acacia Tree is alot less likely to be eaten by mamals when they are "inhabited" by ants. Mutual protection.
We humans are no different and no exclusion to this symbiotic system.

BTW: I have smoked DMT serveral times now and I dare to bet it can be the best of all Lucid Dream Aids if used as such.
Perhaps Salvia extract + DMT would make for the ultimate oneirogen. Might even add a tiny tiny pinch of the Devil's Flowers who's name shall not be mentioned due to safety reasons.
