Hey, I'm no expert or anything... but last night I tried going into a WILD, I didn't get past, or fully to the sleep paralysis part... for the simple fact that I really really had to go to the washroom (I gotta stop drinking right before bed). I was about 3/4 paralyzed, but to finish it off, I kinda needed to stop paying attention to it and go into more of a trancelike state, which I was trying to do but I kept getting disrupted cuz I had to go really badly |

One should practice walking in circles.
Sounds very similar to something I do... never really thought of it the way you explain it though |

I just read another technique somewhere. You do this to relax though, just after you lie in bed. You get into a comfortable position, and then tense and untense your body starting from your feet all the way up to your face. Focus on all the tiny parts as well and do them separately, moving up your body as you go. So for example, for your head, try to focus on tightening and untightening first your throat, then your jaw, then your lips, etc. I'm not sure how long you should hold them for, but I'd assume something between 3-6 seconds. |

Without too much more work, you'll have a self hypnosis technique, btw |

Curiosity killed the cat but at least it didnt die an ignorant bastard
Well, imagine you're lying down right at the ocean with your feet pointing towards the water... now just imagine a wave flowing over you, and then subsides, and flows over you another time. Or basically. |

Oh that reminds me of some near the boarder(SP) experiences ive had to. To lie in an comfertable position, which can get very uncomfertable after a while |

The technique with tensing and un-tensing is a relaxation technique called ‘progressive relaxation’ from Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming. It involves deep breathing and relaxation, slowly relaxing all the major muscles in the body, as well as the mind at the same time. |

I always feel SP first, but sometimes at the same time as HI, and some mini dreams |

To get into SP, try the SUNEYE technique....................it got me into SP the first time i tried it, last night. if you dont kno what suneye is, google it, or look at my post about it at the top of lucid experiences. |

Yeah, this also reminds me a trick i used when i was starting. But moving only the arms or legs aint as empowering as imagining yourself walking out of your bed/couch/floor/etc you walk out, and as you move, imagine ll the details around you. If you are familiar with the surroundings it wont be hard and if you practice this technique along with the WILD, in no time you will "shift" (i cant think of another word which can describe better the transition) your conscience into your imaginated body, then into a semi lucid dream, in which you can increase lucidity with the variuos techniques detailed elsewhere |

Regalecus Ibn Je33ica (hi mum, im a grownup now!!)
OK cool, this reminded me of something I haven't tried in a few years, but it used to work uber swell for the induction of SP. BTW Dylan thanks for posting your technique. I'll try it and get back to the forum on my results. |
