Angry What the!? Why didn't I have my first LD?

I've literally just woken up from having a dream about LD's!

I won't tell you it all but to summarize:

I was back at school with my friends and at first we were just running through the school trying to get to class the fastest way w/o being caught by teachers.

When we got to class it was only then that I found out it was about how to Lucid Dream, and it was my friend who was teaching the class. I remember him saying to me 'Ha, don't worry these idiots won't get the hang of it'.

Oh the irony.. this SHOULD have made me lucid, no? But it didn't.. why? I didn't even THINK to RC. It would of been my first ever Lucid Dream aswell.

I remember being confused in the dream because it looked like an art class, and people were getting ready to paint! So why my friend was teaching the class about Lucid Dreaming was beyond me..

It's quite common that you dream about something that you've been thinking about alot lately. There's no reason why you failed and there's really no reason that you should have succeded. It was a dream, the end. Do more exercices.

It would have been very interesting if your teacher/your friend showed you how to do RC:s and you tried one during the dream.

I know the feeling. I often have dreams where I'm in a lucid dreaming class (sometimes I'm even the teacher) and I still don't become lucid.

It's best to do reality checks when the topic of dreaming comes up, especially if you continue to have dreams like this.

I've had dreams where I'm browsing these very forums and it still doesn't click in that I need to do a reality check.. Other times DC's just randomly tell me. Funny how the mind works.

I haven't had any experience with this (that I can remember), but I've heard about it from this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5izBu...e=channel_page

I have had situations kinda like this. I guess in that moment of achieveing lucidity it can be sort of like someone saying "think fast!" and then you trying to catch something. Sometimes you drop it and then sometimes you catch it.

He might of been talking about dreaming in 3rd person so I guess that would make sense.

I also have had dreams where I am browsing these forums. I have also had a dream of someone else doing a reality check, So SO annoying but at the same time I think its progress. It's gotten into your head enough to become part of your dreams

      Keep up the good work
