      The itch

you know all these different kinds of things, like WILD, meditation, and hypnosis and stuff, basically anything where you are supposed to sit or lie still... maybe, repeat stuff in your head... well, i have no problem with sitting there (a lot of people seem to get bored, or tired of it, i have no problem with that) what i have a problem with is getting itchy! how do you sit still without having to scratch an itch? any advice?
All I know is that i don't know nothing.

Then just itch it and then go back to what you were doing. That's what I do if its driving me crazy.

I've read that it's because of poor blood circulation...

When i just started meditating i felt it in my face...I experienced it if i

focused on my breathing for too long... It felt like electrical current

flowing through my face and going to my chest.... But it wasnt too itchy...

      It just was unnatural...

but if you give in, and scratch it, doesnt that ruin the whole sitting still effect?

i just itch without thinking...just ignore the act of itching, it does disturb the whole sitting still effect, but sometimes i stretch my lets out straight cause they hurt, but honestly-think about it=

      1. you could ignore the itch to make it go away, and let it distract you over the approximate one minute

      2. itch it and be distracted for 3 seconds...

whats better...numero 2 is better for me personally.

Call it 'womens intuition', but I think I'm on to something here.

A truely good meditator can ignore the scratch and not even feel it..

I have this problem too. I try to Wild and sit still, but suddenly I'm uncomfortable in my sleeping position, I have an itch or I feel this tension. Maybe it means we're focusing too hard.

it was supposed to be a joke, but i guess it just kind of faded to fast.

I always just itch. They never go away for me unless I scratch them. And it's a nice feeling (most of the time).

where exactly do you get these itches tim??? [/b]

But can you have your cake and eat it too?

Today, everything was fine. Until roundabout, quarter to nine, I suddenly found myself in a bind. Was it something I said? Something I read an manifested that’s getting you down.[/b]
