      realistic noises

Sometimes just before I am about to fall asleep I will hear something in my room fall and crash to the ground, whenever this happens it startles me and when I look around my room I find that everything is where it should be, and as real as the noises seem when I hear them, they don't seem real at all when I am thinking about them afterward... does this ever happen to anyone else? And could it be a sign of entering a dream?

      Hey Taylor,

I hear strange noises in my room at night too, but nothing to that extent. It could be the fact that you were having HI if you had been laying there in bed for a little bit. When you are in HI you will hear audible noises sometimes. I had an experience when I first started LDing that I heard a man's voice from a CD that I had listened to about LDing. It was so clear, like he had said it into my ear!

Anyways, I hope this helps in some way! If not lol, I hope you find the answers you are looking for

Yeah, the hypnogogic sensations would be my very first guess for that.

Hi is hypnogogic imagery. But I thinkit counts for other sensations such as sounds and touch as well.
      good times

yeah what you experienced were hypnogogic sounds and could mean you were entering a dream. hypnogogic sensations are what you feel, hear or see while falling asleep and are completely normal. I also hear sounds while falling asleep but normally not crashing.

      ^Probably
