      Thumbs up jumping out windows

so last night i had my 2nd LD and i must say my brain is doing a great job at tricking me. i was having a dream about getting shot, and had a false awakening, when i "woke up" (false awakening) i told myself that next time i get shot im will be in a dream. Next thing i know im back to the dream and i became lucid when i took a shot to the head. As soon as i noticed i was lucid i could feel the butterflies in my stomach from the excitement but i told myself to stay dreaming.the dream was fading! so i seen a window and jumped out and was laughing as I had another false awakening. i was wondering if this is normal to have multiple false awakenings in one night and if i can teach myself to tell if im really awake.
      LD count : 3

In my experience, it's pretty common to have multiple false awakenings. And they always seem so real. A lot of LDers get into the habit of performing a reality check (or multiple reality checks) as soon as they wake up to make sure they are actually awake. It's something I'm starting to try and do more.

Between autosuggestion right before you go to sleep and RCing/dream journaling as soon as you wake up, you get a bit of continuity in your waking life. With your last thought before sleep and your first though after waking both being about dreaming, it's only a matter a time before that awareness seems into dreams and your having multiple lucids!
Maybe, just for a second, you'll be awestruck.
      ...do you feel it to?

      Be careful with windows.

People die from jumping out of windows because they think they are dreaming. That's what RCs are for. No need to do some crazy stunt to check to see if you are dreaming when you can simply shove one hand through the other.

that just made me laugh really hard. I can imagine the OP getting up to go to the bathroom in the night and sees some one while walking back to bed and punches them in the stomach.
