Dry spell is just a term for a long time period without any LDs.

Zelda, what exactly have you been doing lately (if anything) to get lucid? And what do you think you haven't tried?

Try to get someone else interested in LDing - somebody who has never heard about it. Often times after I spend a while explaining what LDing is, how to do it and why it's so cool, I have good dreams that night. Just thinking about it a lot is the most important thing, IMO.

Zelda, I'd also suggest trying to allow yourself to relax about it - I find that getting frustrated that I'm not having lucid dreams makes it more difficult to do so. Kind of like when you can't fall asleep and you get frustrated about it, which then makes it even more difficult.
Like jombo said, thinking about it a lot helps too. I like to play a game with myself when I'm awake where I think as skeptically as possible as I go about my day - paying attention to my surroundings, looking for errors in the world, believing at any moment I'm going to realise something isn't quite right and discover I'm dreaming. The awareness during the day makes it more likely that that habit will carry over into the dream world.

I also find that when my sleep schedule is really messed up - like right now, when I'm working two overnight shifts and three morning shifts every week - I have a harder time with recall and lucidity. Try to have as regular a sleep schedule as possible.

Chiming Snowy Egypt - what have you been trying lately?

I haven't had any lucids for months now, but I know how to solve recall and clarity dry spells. Change something about your sleeping pattern or habits. Going from a WBTB schedule to a continuous sleep pattern, changing something about my bedding, or simply moving my sleep schedule back or forward half an hour does it for me.

well I start going to college tommrow, that should be a big enough change in happits to spark looking around more which should cause a greater chance of me getting lucid. Also I will just relax about that should also help.
      Thanks

To end your dry spell, I would just take your time and relax. Don't try so hard to have a Lucid dream because it has been known doing such activity, could possibly hinder your chance of really having one... Just keep up with the Dream Journal, do reality checks, and while you are laying in bed, just repeat to yourself over and over "I will remember my dreams in full detail.. I will remember to do a reality check!" Hopefully, after a few tries (or one night) it will pay off!

      Good luck to you!
