      WBTB and MILD Question

I attempt DILD every night before I go to sleep. I've been recording dreams (and found dream signs) for a few months now and have done many reality checks throughout the day. What really bothers me is that, in almost every dream, I'm never conscious enough to even THINK about the question "am I dreaming?" The MILD mantras never fall through, and I can slip by a dream sign without any thought. It's like I forget that I'm trying to lucid dream.

But then I tried WBTB and decided to MILD again. Surprisingly, I was in the dream and somehow remembered to reality check. Then that became my first lucid dream. So, does that mean that WBTB increases MILD chances?

Oh, and what can I do to increase my overall awareness in normal dreams, so I can LD without WBTB?

to increase overall awareness in normal dreams, you should increase your overall awareness in real life, like throughout the day just stop look around think about what you see, hear, feel, taste and smell
Law abiding citizen by day, breaking the laws of reality by night.

      Hehe, good job man.

And yea, WBTB increases the chances of MILD. Actually it increases the chances of almost everything, WBTBs are recommended before trying any technique.
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.
