      Update- nearly there!

      Greetings!

      I got so close the other night! I've been practising saying 'Am I dreaming Is this a dream?' the past few weeks and think it's starting to pay off. In my dream last night I was in a field and the more I walked the closer I came to a two-storey cottage that said 'Dreaming?' on one of it's walls! As I began to wonder if it was a dream- my partner woke me up! Arrrrrrggggghhhh!!!!

      Oh well, what can you do? I tried writing Am I dreaming? on a piece of card tro put up in my house somewhere but didnt have time to do a pretty elaborate job of it so I gave up! (damn perfectionism) I wonder if there's a quick way to make a pretty sign?! I sort of want it to look otherwordly as if it has been printed by a being not of this world! Maybe if I use potatoes!

      Hmm.. I have a suggestion to shock you into thinking it.. Smear a piece of white cardboard with crap. That way you'll not only see it, but you'll smell it.

      Hi Unknown

      Due to the impractical nature of your suggestion I can only infer that you were trying to shock me full stop. This is all well and good but probably more appropriately posted in the off-topic section!

      heh, there is, its called mspaint.
      or, if you dont like that, then you could allways use MSword, ect ect...
      then print it, frame it, hang it,
      total = 153 $ lol

      I have this interesting method that has given me 2-3 LDs in the past 2 weeks, while trying to go to sleep, i try to imagine the most random vivid scenes, and then find something wrong with it, (kinda like practice fo r the real dreams. lol ) anyway, this method has to be effective, because i had the most vivid LD, all the reality checks werent working, i couldnt put my finger through my hand, i could re-read text over and over and it was the same, and the only way i knew it was a dream was because i tried to fly. lol hope that helps

      Well it was on-topically off-topic.. a rare situation mods can't do a thing about!

      Hi Lord Soth

      Thanks for the printing idea- it didnt even occur to me! So I've decided to use my computer to get the actually shape of the word then pinprick little holes in the paper and thread bits of longish string through to give the impression that the word is melting or growing out of the wall!

      I really like your LDing suggestion. I think instincts play a big part and it seems to me you are following yours. I'm going to try your way tonight so thanks!
