dreaming that I'm lucid, but not...

I used to lucid dream easily and I would go directly into an OBE. Now I keep dreaming that I realize I'm dreaming. I've done that so many times and am determined to beat it. So last night when I 'realized ' I was dreaming I tried to project out of it. I couldn't so I realized that I must be just dreaming that I was lucid, still nothing. It's like I'm stuck in layers of dreams. I can't really alter the dreamspace either. It's so very frustrating. Anyone else do this?

It happens to everyone. Just keep up your awareness and eventually you'll break through those barriers. Good luck!
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.

This happens to me fairly often. I refer to it as a low level lucid. I seem to be in full control of my actions, and realize that it's a dream, but I'm not lucid enough to actually alter the dream in any way. I'll try to do something, such as summoning or teleporting, and it just won't work, which leaves me quite confused because I think I'm fully lucid! It's terribly frustrating, indeed.

In fact, I had one this morning! At first I was fully lucid, but I didn't bother to take enough time to stabilize the dream, and after about a minute I slipped into this "low level" mode, where I was not quite lucid, but dreaming about being so.

But in all seriousness, you shouldn't feel bad about it. There's a big difference between dreaming about being lucid and not having anything to do with it at all. It shows that it's still on your mind (lucidity, that is). I'd recommend spending a little more time doing RCs so you can get back into that state of mind where you constantly question what you see. That's probably all it will take.

Thanks you all for replying. I contacted The Lucidity Institute and they told me basically the same thing. Thanks again! I love LD!!

ahaha, yeah, that happened to me a lot.
I wouldn't call them even Low Lucid Dreams, because they are not like that, I mean, they can be clear and real and all of that, but if they are not at least a bit LUCID, then they don't care too much...
      but it's ok, keep practicing!
      become MORE aware!

      bye!
