I'm putting a lot of thought and work into this at the moment. In brief, here's what I'm experimenting with (I highlight the fact that they are only experiments at this stage):
Writing lines. Last night before bed I filled three sheets of paper with the affirmation, "I will realise I'm dreaming, RC, then fly." I wrote in different ink colours, in different writing styles, with different size letters, different pens etc.
I dreamed of helicopters and doing exams at school in the night, so I think I've also conditioned this to be a dreamsign. I'll increase my effort today (bah, writing lines) and report back what happens tomorrow.
Another new experiment I'm doing is, when I wake up from a dream, after I DJ I list "10 Reasons why this is a dream, and why I should recognise it as a dream". That list should be written too, I believe. That's a fairly new one too (only one night so far).
