Like no-Name said, it is different for everyone. Some people it takes several months to have their first lucid. I personally became lucid within the first week. Once you start getting lucid, it'll get easier and easier as you keep working at it. Good Luck to you! |

I never kept a dream journal. I was always concerned about someone reading it. They'd send straight to jail if people found out the things i dream about, specially when I'm lucid, haha. |

I came into this thread to wonder about the peculiar wording. What is controlling "half your dream"? Half of all dreams? |

i never have kept a dream journal and have never had any real trouble controlling my dreams, although it did take me quite a while to have my first LD, several months of practice eventually allowed me to begin having them via the MILD method with regularity. so in answer to your original question, i have never written down a dream. |
