How to remember to RC when opening a door?

I can't seem to do an RC every time I open a door, i've been trying for a month now. It's just so hard to make it become a habit. Any idea of how I can achieve this?

Here is what you do. Right now, walk up to the nearest door. Stand on one leg while holding one hand up in the air. While doing this, stare intently at the door. Repeatedly yell in your mind, "DOOR DOOR DOOR DOOR DOOR DOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DOOR MEANS REALITY CHECKS!!!!!!" Do this for about 25 seconds. Now, lean your head up against the door, then close your eyes. For each place you go that you would normally find a door (your home, school, a certain store, ect..), visualize yourself coming up to the door, not remembering to RC. Then, visualize yourself looking at the door and remembering to RC. Make sure the door is vivid, and the setting is vivid, and for each place that you visualize, do the little finding door and RCing visualization at least 3 times. Lastly, sit down by the door with your back up against it. Tap the door repeatedly while repeating loudly, "When I see a door, I will reality check."

And voila, you should dramatically increase your door RCing. Do this at least twice a day and you will do fine. It may sound stupid, random, and totally made up, and that's because it is. However, the sudden presence of randomness and stupidity in your schedule will make the door RCing a LOT easier. Just give this a try, even if you are skeptical.

I like this idea. As long as it's being done at home though. xD

If you wear glasses, you can put a blob of sellotape (or even better, black tape) on one side. It will bug the hell out of you (like when you've got dirt on your nose and can see it out of the corner of your eye) but will remind you. You'll need to move it to the other eye sometimes or you'll stop seeing it. Most folk will just think the tape is there as a temporary repair.

Oh! Inspiration. Just thought of this...wonder if it'll work. I'll try it today.

Each day of the week you have to open doors in a different way.

      Eg:

One day - with your less dominant hand
One day - without using your thumb
One day - you have to open the door by touching it a foot above the handle

You need something that you can use at work so that people don't think you're odd.

I have been doing some frequent reality checks by writing an "D" on my hand for dream.
Everytime I open a door I see the D and remember to check If I am dreaming
It's only in your dreams that you can dodge Hitler's bullets and then go upstairs to Bonk your friends girlfriend.

There were these two fellars standin' on a bridge, a-goin' to the bathroom. One fellar said, "The water's cold" and the other fellar said, "The water's deep". I believe one fella come from Arkansas. Get it?

      Does this door-check work?
I don't remember opening doors in my non-lucid-dreams. Will doing door-rc's make you opening doors in your dreams as well?

I don't think its that you're not opening doors. I think its that opening a door is such a minor detail that it would be incredible to remember it if you were not lucid

About a month ago i'd decided to do an RC when I hear my name, open a door, or sit down. but i couldnt seem to make any habit. I decided to try and tackle one at a time (the door), but still couldnt remember to do it. Then i had an idea, i decided to carry this little plastic dinosaur keyring around with me, and every time i would get up it would be in my hands and remind me to do RC's, but it didnt work that well as i would often just put it in my pocket or leave it somewhere by mistake, instead of allways having it in my hand or resting on my leg (when sitting). It might be worth trying though, it does work partially. I'll try Black Mantles idea next i think..
