I have had probably 7 or 8 LD to date, and my most recent LD had been induced by the WILD technique. |

Affirmations like this work for me. But I think it is much more helpful to state the affirmation positively. Instead of "they can't hurt me" try saying "I am safe and protected". |
Oddly, I've never had anything like this. The few times I entered SP in a way that you actually saw it, it was a blasting vortex of colors swirling around, and you are right in the middle of it falling downwards. |

with enthusiasm which elevates me to heaven; for nothing contributes so much to tranquillise the mind as a steady purpose--a point
on which the soul may fix its intellectual eye." -

Ah, thank you! I used your affirmations and pictured a white light around me, and said I had one around me too. And as the SP came along, I just kept saying it over and over |
This sounds really really creepy. Sounds like someone is in your room? Grabbing you and shaking you? Creeeeeepppy. I would be scared out of my mind, but I am still interesting in trying a WILD though. |
That is only one possibility. |
Ok, because I am one of those people who react to every little sound that is out of place when I am going to sleep and it freaks me out if it is something out of the ordinary such as a zipper opening. Normally that would cause me to freak out and turn on the light. But you are saying if I stay calm and tell myself its all fake, creepy things like that won't happen? What could happen? What sounds would I hear that wouldn't creep me out in some way? |
Well, I don't know what will freak you out or not, but you will know that it isn't real. You will know that it is from your mind. It might freak you out. You might have to get used to it. The thing is, if it does freak you out, you can stop it. But then you will have missed a great opportunity. |

Hmm. I may have had one of those before. One time as I was going to sleep I heard a loud TWANG sound as if someone hit a peice of metal. I woke up and wondered what the hell just happened. Is that the same? |
Sure, it is the same. It usually happens right when you are losing consciousness. Or sometimes you can feel like you are falling suddenly or you fell from 6 inches and landed in your bed. |
Is it easier to induce a WILD during a nap like I heard from other people or when I am going asleep for the night? If I'm going asleep should I just go for a DILD instead? |
Go for it all! Use all methods! If wild don't succeed, or you fall asleep, it will still help you to dild. All the techniques help each other. |
