What method is this? a MILD or some variation?

Last night I did a very simple method which worked. Basicly I had an alarm wake me up, and as I was very tired and my brain still in REM mode, I just said something like "Do a Reality check in a min" every couple of secs, and then after about 30 secs I did an RC and it worked! I know this is similar to the Finger technique where you waggle a finger and then do an RC, but it's more like MILD because your relying on prospective memory rather than the finger. I think it might work best when your brain is still in REM mode though, because your mind is so busy with random thoughts/images etc, that your going to be falling asleep and dreaming very soon anyway.

Obviousley this technique is so simple that it must allready have a name?

This is simply a variation to "I am dreaming" or "I will realize I'm dreaming". It is still the MILD technique, just a different way of saying it. Congrats on the lucid dream, though.

Yeah I would call it a combo of WBTB and a MILD. I am no good at MILD. Makes sense because IRL I can get up to get something, and completely forget what I was just looking for a matter of seconds.

Yeah this method has worked once before aswell, but it's strange as it seems that maybe it only works in certain siutations.
