      Blind people and meletolin

I was looking at what meletolin did to the body and how it was produced on the Internet yesterday and had a thought. If meletolin is only produced in the absence of light, how can a blmd person produce seretolin. My thought is that the body will know if it is night or day because the eye detects it. So how is it that they do not feel the effects of meletolin all the time, such as drowsiness. Anyone got any ideas.

      Thanks for any responses
