      Has this ever been enough?

So, lately I find myself in situations where RC-ing is a bit inconvenient, except for the one major one where I ask myself, "Am I dreaming right now?"

I'm wondering, is this ever enough for people? I'm happy that at the very least, I'm increasing my awareness, and remembering to ask myself this question when situations arise, but I wish I could do something a bit more than to just question if what is happening is real or not. Is there something else I could do to follow that question with that wouldn't be intrusive to the situation?

For example, last night at work, I was watching something happening in the alley on camera. I've had a dream about something like this before, which triggered the question, am I dreaming right now? I had co workers on site and was trying to deal with a conflict with them, and also the people on my camera. The only other thing I could do was to read the camera numbers on the screen. I couldn't really see myself pinching my nose or checking my watch at that moment.

So... if you ever find yourself in a situation where asking yourself if you're dreaming is the only option, how would you follow that up?

Somewhere on DreamViews there is a list of RC's that don't require movement. I'll try to post a link.

asking myself whether i'm dreaming usually works fine, though i have become lucid a few times from observing a cellphone or other screen. just analyze your environment, perhaps saying to yourself 'i definitely must be dreaming' regardless of whether you really believe it -- and evaluate that assertion along with your environment.
