How can you learn to mild with success

I've been trying the mild technique for months, since at least may or june. I have never been able to mild, i can visualize but every time i visualize my dream scene i dream about something completely different. Last night i read the tutoral again and did exactly down to the point of everything it said to do, and i don't even know if i even dreamed. I like both milds, but i like to try and become a pro at the visualization mild, has anyone had success with this mild method? And if so, what did you do? Oh yeah, mantras don't seem to work for me when i do them before i go to bed, so i'm going to try my intention mantra throughout the day and see what happens.

You shouldn't try so hard. If you work very hard for it and it fails you get frustrated and that's the last thing you'd want. You need to relax, indeed read some info on this site, and just think, ok I'm gonna sleep well tonight try the MILD method and have a lucid dream. If it doesn't work then try again next day, it'll come eventually. I found that I have the most lucid dreams when I go to bed relaxed, and not with the thought - will I finally get a lucid dream.

      Good Luck,
and some methods just don't work for some people, like mantras do work for me, but apparantly not for you.

Yeah you're right, i'll just keep practicing, i was kind of successfull with the mild this afternoon. I didn't get the exact lucid dream i wanted, but i did have a dream and it was lucid, the dream content tipped me off that i was lucid.

Agree with those too. just let it come. It's exactly the same as learning a new skill like cricket or water polo or some shit like that. Practice and TIME will embed it into your sub-concious.
