      Question Couple of questions....

      Ok, my first question is:
When I dream, I usually am conscious enough to think about the dream (although I have no idea about the dream) and it's pretty much like watching TV but when I think of something like: "Hmm, that lamp should stand over there!" or anything like that, it happens, although i never realize that I am dreaming .....

And second : Yesterday I woke up around 4-5am and remembered like 3-4dreams (Wich is my greatest acomplishment in dream recalling so far ) and tried MILD. As I was slowly drifting of to sleep, I repeated to my self: "I will do an RC and realize I am dreaming" and " A DC will come and tell me I'm dreaming" Then, in a dream a DC came to me and said: "Did you know i can do whatever i want in here?" And then she summoned a kitty.. she then told me that, I should try that too, but I just walked away from her... So, my question is how can't I attain lucidity whit so many unreal things happening in my dreams, when usually I can attain it easily, when I notice a small strange thing?

It seems like the reason why you are not able to capture the lucid dream completely while surrounded by tons of unrealistic events is because you are probably at a low-level lucidity. I say this because it seems as if you are able to be a little coherent enough to recognize but not coherent enough to fully accept what is unrealistic. Your subconscious is still very much in control and you want more control from your normal conscious mind. How to achieve this? I would try yelling out "Increase Clarity" This has always worked for me when I am low level but coherent enough to be aware of my dream surroundings. Give it a try also and see if it works out for you ^.^ You just may be surprised of your results ^.~ Good luck!

I think that Chookie is trying to say that even when these events occur, there is no realization of dreaming occuring. I would agree that yelling "increase clarity" would help solve low-lucidity level problems, but Chookie is not becoming lucid even when these dream signals present themselves.

Your dreams are very much like reality, except for when something unreal happens your brain can not distinguish from what is real and what is not. A big, pink, flying elephant in a dream is as real and sane as a normal, walking dog in reality.

I would suggest doing more reality checks throughout the day, and especially when you see something questionable. If you get used to doing this, then one day you will be in a dream and see something strange (like a DC materializing organic beings out of thin air), do a reality check, and then realize you are in a dream!

Yeah, what I wanted to say is that i can't become lucid, even if so much unrealistic stuff happens....

And thanks for the sugestions, I'll try doing more reality checks, and I'll post results
