      No more LDs since first

OK, well I had my first LD a couple of weeks ago, but have had nothing else since, not even the dreams about LDing which I used to have. I kind of got a bit slack with dream journaling and reality checking after the LD, is this the problem? I just find it such an effort writing all my dreams out by hand, and I can't type all of them on a computer, I remember so many...

Am I dreaming? Do a Reality Check. Is this is a dream?

Then don't write them all out. Think of a key word, like a title, or a single sentence that sums the dream up. Usually, once you've gotten the dream in your mind to try and think of a summary for it, you will remember the basics of it when you go back to read over your dreams.

Thanks, that's a good idea! Sometimes I do just write down a short sentence if I can't be bothered to go into detail.

Dream Recall is very important to the LDing process. If need be, try using a tape recorder? LDs are difficult usually in the beginning, but practice makes perfect. Some are naturals, some need to put in effort, like me. Have you tried reality checks in real life? if you say try to poke your finger through your hand and ask "am I dreaming?" (DONT ANSWER YOURSELF) and you make a habit of it, sooner or later you'll end up doing it in a dream and your finger will go through your hand! Just make sure you dont become entranced by it, otherwise you'll lose the LD lol. Reality checks are extremley helpful too.

You shouldn't ever slack on reality checks. It's required for most beginners to do reality checks very often. I've already had five. I do them a lot. It is said that the more reality checks you do the bigger chance that you'll do a reality check in your dreams. But I don't like to try to over do it.
