How effective are RCs for you?

i have been doing them for a while and I have yet to have them help. It seems i go lucid rather randomly.

i still do them, by the way.

      sigh....

Am I dreaming? Do a Reality Check. Is this is a dream?

I'd like to know how many people have got lucid from doing an RC by chance in a dream. I think I can remember one post where someone said it happened, but most of the time people seem to say that the RC is the final check when they already have an idea they're lucid.

I am in the same boat as you, beachgirl - my lucidity seems to be very random.
My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.

Well, every time I do a RC and it works, I become lucid, so... really effective.
Funny because I rarely ever become lucid randomly <.<

Yeah I've only had one lucid dream and it didnt exactly used it to become lucid. I used it when I was in the dream to confirm that I actually am lucid. I've been doing regular RC's for about three weeks and still havent used it as an inducer...

When i do a RC in a dream, i always do the nose pinch RC.
It always works, but usually the dream ends quickly afterwards because i get too excited.

Someone who understands. Nose-pinch is the only RC that ever worked for me .

Reality Checks (A.K.A. DILD) are very effective for me. I like to try to change the number '9' on my hand. It's usually not there, so that's one of my dream signs. And yes they occur randomly. I think that's how they work. But you half to think that there's always a possibility that your dreaming. Get it into your subconscious.
