I've got all possible techniques hard-wired in my brain but my problem is dreaming in the first place. For the past week (Easter holiday) I've been waking up every day at 5am and go back to sleep till past noon on several occasions. I have had a a few non-lucid, no control dreams but they were very faint and the whole time I felt my real body and knew I was lying in bed. It was more like day dreaming in bed.
Every time so far I've forgotten my dreams (or "thoughts" really) completely before having a chance to record it. Yesterday though I had a pretty typical dream where I escape a prison and continue evading life-threatening situations and being caught thanks to supernatural abilities. When I get into a situation when by blood pressure gets slightly higher, like close to being caught or even attempting to gain control of the dream, I instantly wake up and feel frustrated as hell.
tl;dr
Any tips on landing a nice, solid REM dream that I can take over through DILD, MILD etc.?
Any way to calm down in-dream so you don't get excited and wake up; or else sleep like a rock so it doesn't happen?
Sorry if something similar was posted somewhere else before.
P.S. WILD doesn't work with me.
